"We had a huge endeavor, converting a single family home's garage, 4th bedroom and bath, to not just a casita for my mom, but an actual self sufficient apartment, complete with full kitchen and w/d. In addition, we converted a powder room to a 3/4 bath, changed a couple of walls, the kitchen and floors were all redone, and the house was painted from ceiling to floor.
Yes, there was a lot of frustration on both sides, different things happened beyond anyone's control, many sub-contractors in the process, Maricopa County was involved for the permits, my elderly mom was living with us during construction and we all lived out of boxes and the project took a really long time. But in the end, our home looks beautiful!!!
We really want to get across that the owner Bret, operates his business with honor and integrity. In all honesty, it would be easy to give lesser merit given everything, but the most important thing is that Bret made good on everything. We saw him regularly, texted and phone timely, he absorbed costs when he could have submitted us extra charges, he was always smiling and good natured, gave us some things at his cost when we added or changed or it was an especially frustrating week, explained and answered questions in detail and made himself available when we were having a hard time.
Basically, there is nothing bad that we can say. Bret is an honest businessman, treated us with respect and made good on the entire project. What else can one ask for?? We would hire Rise Above again!"
