Our Process

Step 1: Establish Your Needs/Wants

Rise Above is here to help create YOUR dream space.

We ask that you have ideas about what you need and want before we come out to your home. Houzz.com & Pinterest.com are great resources to see different design ideas. New home models are a good way to see what is trending in home remodeling design. We suggest you also take some pictures of your home space along with some dimensions if possible.

Step 2: Free Estimate

Get a Free Estimate!

If you’re in Anthem, Peoria, Glendale, or Phoenix, AZ, feel free to call us, or drop in to our showroom to schedule your free estimate. At this appointment we will send one of our senior experienced estimators to your home to measure the space, and discuss initial design ideas with you. This is a good time to present design ideas that you have found through various resources as discussed above. Your estimator will ask you for an expected budget range in order to ensure that the design consultant picks out materials that will suit your wants and needs. We never want to present you with a budget that you cannot afford. Our goal is to offer you the best remodel possible within a budget you feel comfortable with.

Step 3: Design Consultation

Our estimators will call you within 3-7 business days of the initial measure.

Here we will explore the conceptual drawings and suggest product options as well as review the scope of work for your project . Our designer is here to listen and help define/ refine your priorities for the project. Through our discussions we will refine, and better define, the drawings and scope of work for your project. During this time we will also discuss the estimated budget for the estimated scope of work. This estimated budget will be comprehensive of the preliminary scope of work, product ideas, and other project priorities that were identified during the initial measure. With this discussion you will have a better understanding of the ability and value that Rise Above Remodeling can offer you. This process of defining your exact needs and wants through the remodeling project might take 2-3 meetings or more depending on details and complexity. There is no pressure to hurry this process. Our estimators and designers are here to help you feel comfortable and guide you through the choices for your specific needs and wants.

Step 4: Agreement & Deposit

The agreement and deposit

After the design is agreed upon, product selection and scope of work have been finalized…our working document will be signed by both parties and a deposit will be collected to commence the project. Rise Above is a debt free company with our suppliers. Your deposit will be used to purchase all of your materials on COD.

Step 5: Pre-Construction Meeting

Meeting your project superintendent and designer

Your designer/ estimator will give you a better idea of when our project manager will be contacting you to discuss scheduling your project when you sign your agreement. A few weeks after contract signing, our project superintendent and designer will meet with you at your home for a pre-construction meeting. At this time, job site details such as: product delivery, home access, job site protection, and scheduling will be discussed. This meeting also provides an opportunity for your project manager to see the job site and discuss any special needs or details prior to the commencement of your project.

Step 6: Work Begins

The project officially begins!

This is the working phase of the project. The length of this phase can vary from a few days to a few months depending on the size and scope of your project. The project manager will keep you updated on scheduling for demo, trade work, and installations. You will also see your project manager or designer stop by at frequent intervals to assure all the details are carried out as planned.

Step 7: Punch List Walk Through

The final walk through

During this phase of the project all the details and remaining items come together to complete the finished look. At this time, we ask that you go through your project and notate any items that require attention. Please present them to your project manager in full during the walk through.

Step 8: Final

Project completion

The final step in our process is for your designer and project manager to perform a final job site review to see that everything has turned out as planned and that you are completely satisfied with the outcome. With your permission, we will take photos of your completed project to help inspire other homeowners that are just embarking down the remodeling road illustrating that the process is simple and enjoyable. During this last appointment your project manager will collect final payment for the balance due, and any change orders that were agreed upon during the construction part of the project.
